There's a lot of vague information out there about Google review removal. So we're going to do something different: show you real case types — the review content, the policy violation, the dispute approach, and what happened.

Case 1: The Competitor Attack — Dental Practice, Miami FL
The Review:
⭐ "Worst dentist I've ever been to. Rude staff, dirty office, overcharged me by $400. Never going back."
What We Found:
- Reviewer had only 2 reviews total: this 1-star and a 5-star for a competing dental practice 0.3 miles away
- Account created 11 days before the review was posted
- No record of this patient in the practice's system — ever
- The $400 charge referenced doesn't match any procedure they offer
Policy Cited: Conflict of Interest — competitor review
Outcome: Removed in 4 business days. Practice rating went from 3.8 ⭐ to 4.3 ⭐.
Case 2: The Disgruntled Ex-Employee — Roofing Company, Dallas TX
The Review:
⭐⭐ "This company is a scam. They underpay their workers and the owner is corrupt. Don't trust them."
What We Found:
- Review contained no reference to a customer experience — only internal business practices
- Review posted 3 days after the employee was terminated (verified via HR records)
- Language matched other online posts from the same individual
- No mention of any roofing job, quote, or service
Policy Cited: Conflict of Interest (former employee) + Off-Topic Content
Outcome: Removed in 6 business days. Company avoided significant reputational damage during peak season.
Case 3: The Coordinated Bot Attack — Restaurant, Chicago IL
The Situation: 10 negative reviews posted within 48 hours. All 1-star. No text on most, generic on others.
What We Found:
- All accounts created within 30 days of the attack
- All accounts had 0–1 reviews in their history
- IP geolocation suggested accounts originated from outside the US
- No matching customer records for any reviewer
Policy Cited: Spam and Fake Content — coordinated inauthentic behavior
Outcome: 8 of 10 reviews removed within 7 days. Rating jumped from 3.2 ⭐ to 4.6 ⭐.
Case 4: The Wrong Business — Plumber, Phoenix AZ
The Review:
⭐ "Showed up 3 hours late, left a mess, charged double the estimate."
What We Found:
- The reviewer was describing a different plumbing company with a similar name
- Business had no record of this customer or the incident described
- Reviewer confirmed in a follow-up (Google Business message) they had the wrong business
Policy Cited: Off-Topic Content — review describes a different business
Outcome: Removed in 3 business days after reviewer confirmed the mistake.
Case 5: The Never-a-Customer Review — Plastic Surgeon, Beverly Hills CA
The Review:
⭐ "Do NOT go here. I had a terrible experience and was left with complications."
What We Found:
- Detailed records check: no patient file, no consultation, no inquiry
- Reviewer had left identical reviews (same wording) for 4 other plastic surgeons
- Account had 12 reviews, all 1-star, all in the medical/aesthetic category
Policy Cited: Spam and Fake Content — not a genuine patient experience
Outcome: Removed in 5 business days. Helped protect the surgeon's online reputation ahead of a major media feature.
