Many previous studies have shown that, the blog/website is slow or not updated plugin is at risk of attack, penetration is much higher than the site is updated regularly. However, another problem also make webmaster/blogger concerned is the compatibility between the website with the new version of the plugin. If not compatible, it can cause problems with the interface, functionality and even cause the site not to be accessible.

⟹ First, you need to install and activate the plugin WP Safe Updates.

⟹ Next, access the host through the File Manager of cPanel / DirectAdmin or via FTP. Find the path wp-content/plugins/wp-safe-updates, copy the file named db.php and paste into wp-content directory.

⟹ Finally, paste these lines to your wp-config.php.

⟹ Now, whenever a notification of updating plugins, instead click on update now, please click the test update button.

⟹ All the data to the new version of the plugin will be stored temporarily so you can check the compatibility level. Once finished, please click on the button Finish tests.
